I create emotionally grounded films that explore identity, resilience, and the complexity of human connection.

Louvinia is a filmmaker and founder of Maddox Films, creating intimate, character-driven stories that explore identity, resilience, and the complexities of human relationships. A former Division I basketball player at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, she brings the discipline, leadership, and collaborative spirit of an athlete to every production. After transitioning into acting and training in both Atlanta and New York, Louvinia developed a directing approach rooted in trust, emotional precision, and performance. Her experience in front of the camera continues to shape the way she works with actors, creating space for honest, grounded performances. Through Maddox Films, she develops narrative films and series that examine power, vulnerability, grief, and the quiet tensions that exist beneath everyday life. Her debut television pilot, Rock Bottom, gained viral attention in 2020 and attracted interest from major production companies. Her latest short film, Betta Fish, continues that vision, reflecting her commitment to emotionally resonant storytelling with a distinct cinematic voice. Louvinia is currently developing her next slate of film and television projects while building Maddox Films into a home for bold, character-focused stories that challenge, connect, and endure.

I was drawn to filmmaking because stories have the power to help us understand ourselves and one another. I'm interested in characters navigating uncertainty, grief, ambition, and belonging. Through Maddox Films, I strive to create visually cinematic work that is emotionally honest, rooted in empathy, and centered on voices that deserve to be seen.
